Azerbaijan`s Premier Artur Rasizade today has received Chief of Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, Army General Ilker Basbug and his accompanying delegation.
Mr. Rasizade expressed his confidence that visit of such representative delegation to the country and negotiations to be held would serve expansion and deepening of the military cooperation. On successful Azerbaijan-Turkey relations developing in all areas, Premier underlined that Azerbaijan highly praises assistance of Turkey, the country that first recognized Azerbaijan`s independence.
Artur Rasizade told of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno Karabakh, achievements in national economy, global energy and transport projects Beijing implemented in Azerbaijan. Mr. Basbug emphasized that there is no other country in the world that has so close friendly relations as Turkey and Azerbaijan.
The sides shared views on other issues of mutual interest.
