The last stage of the conflict is a definition of the status of Nagorno Karabakh, which is part of Azerbaijan, said spokesman for Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Khazar Ibrahim commenting on Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, who said the last stage of the settlement of the conflict is a recognition of independence of Nagorno Karabakh. "This is required by international documents and decisions. This is spoken of in the principles of international law, fixed in the Moscow declaration, signed by Serzh Sargsyan", said Ibrahim.

He noted that it is difficult to comment on Serzh Sargsyan's statements, contradicting to the Moscow declaration, he signed several days ago and voiced hope that the Armenian side will fulfill conditions, reflected in this document, undersigned not only by Azerbaijan and Armenia, but also by Russia, which is among the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.

"We hope that the Minsk Group co-chairs will seriously treat the steps for Armenia not to step aside from the document it signed and the responsibilities it assumed", concluded Ibrahim.
