COURT GAVE DECISION OF REJECTION OF VENUE ON LAWSUIT AGAINST GUL'S YEREVAN VISIT

Court gave decision of rejection of venue on the libel suit which was sued by Chairperson of the branch of Kayseri Turkish Education Union, Ali Ihsan Ozturk about President Abdullah Gul because of President

In the hearing in Kayseri Peace Court of Civil Jurisdiction, sued Ali Ihsan Ozturk claimed that the visit of President Abdullah Gul to Yerevan hurted Turkish people and said that he sued President Abdullah Gul for this reason.

Attending to hearing with the deputation of President Gul, attorney Omer Kucukozcan said that it was nonprocedural for the lawsuit to be sued in Kayseri. In the hearing, Court decided that the lawsuit was not in the authorization of the court, thus court gave decision of rejection of venue.

Ozturk had sued President Gul about his Yerevan visit, claiming that his Armenia visit hurted Turkish people spiritually.
