One of the known names of Armenian diaspora in U.S. Harut Sassunian claimed that Turkey was driving a wedge between Armenia and Armenian diaspora. Sassounian adviced Armenia to not to rush for reconciliation with Turkey.
Most important press organ of Armenian diaspora in U.S. and being published in Los Angeles for 50 years, owner of The California Courier Harut Sassounian wrote in his article that Turkey was struggling to drive a wedge between Yerevan and Armenian diaspora and adviced Armenia to not to rush for reconciliation with Turkey.
In his article in The California Courier Sassounian said that there was a pressure over Yerevan for reconciliation with Turkey after recent internal kaos in Armenia and recent events in Georgia. Sassounian said,
