Vremya Novostei journal claimed that Turkey was trying to establish trans-Turkish energy corridor with convincing Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
Russian Vremya Novostei journal claimed that Turkey was trying to establish a trans-Turkish energy corridor with also succeeding attandance of Armenia to the project. Journal claimed that Turkey was aiming to solve Karabakh conflict and decrease the stress over so called Armenian genocide meantime.
Journal called for attention to the Turkish Azerbaijani and Turcoman leaders summit in Turkmenistan and underscored the importance of the document that is signed between Turkic leaders. Vremya Novostei Journal claimed that in the meeting of Turkic leaders they did lay a base for a trans-Turkish energy corridor. Commenting on the meeting, daily newspaper wrote that such project will by-pass Russia and deliver middle asia energy sources to Europe over Azerbaijan and Turkey.
Underscoring that there were political difficulties for the project, journal said that the statue of Caspian Sea was still suspicious. Reminding that Turkey and Azerbaijan do not have borders, Journal wrote that energy lines may pass over Armenia or Georgia.
Vremya Novostei claimed that Turkey would prefer Armenia since Georgia was not safe for such energy corridor as the conflict between Georgia and Russia proved. According to Russian journal Ankara administration may also use this as a catalyzer for the resolution process of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
