A cold wind to the recent relatively warm atmosphere between Armenia and Azerbaijan is came from so called Nagorno Karabakh Republic. Former Defence Minister of seperatist Karabakh administration Samvel Babayan opposed to the negotations for Karabakh conflict and said that it was not possible to return occupied lands back to Azerbaijan.
Babayan suggested that 400 thousand Armenian should be settled to the occupied lands. In the Karabakh region, where once approximately one million Azerbaijani was living, lives 50 thousand of civilian now. Babayan claimed that it was a must for a representative from so called NKR to attend the peace negotiations of Karabakh conflict. Babayan said that resolution was impossible otherwise.
Samyel Babayan was jailed because of intending to assasinate President of so called NKR Arkadi Gukasian. He had started political acts after he was set free.
