The Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun) has urged Yerevan to exercise caution in the ongoing rapprochement with Turkey, saying that Ankara is using it to scuttle worldwide recognition of the so called Armenian genocide.

Dashnak leaders claimed that Turkey didn't make any positive step to reciprocate Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan's diplomatic overtures. Getting disturbed by good Turkish Azerbaijan relations, Dashnak leaders said that Turkey policy on Armenia was related to a third country, Azerbaijan.

Dashnaks reminded that Sarksyan said that he was not against the idea of Historians committee for making research on 1915 events in principle and warned governement about not starting academic study about 1915 events with Turkish historians. Dashnaks said that such event may cause US administration to change its idea about recognizing so called Armenian genocide.

On the other hand Dashnaktsutyun said that normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia was so important and was the right of generations.
