In his book "Son Celse" (last session) Analyst Gurbuz Evren summarizes the new strategy of Armenian diaspora as;

1) To create supporters for so called Armenian genocide within Turkey.

2) To help Turkey about recognizing so called Armenian genocide.

Even a group of "intellectuals" initiated an apologizing campaign for 1915 events and even some people had put his/her signature under it naively, we find this initiative as a contribution to the strategy of Armenian diaspora. A great contribution to the aims of Armenian diaspora about making Turkey recognize Armenian allegations.

Of cource, 1915 events is a tragedy. We can share that pain. But that events are not one sided, and "apologizing" is an another topic. Why would today's generation would apologize about an event that they were not invloved. Other than that, do you have an objective, impartial written history?

In his article in Cumhuriyet daily, Ali Sirmen says;

"Any nation in the world would accept to be accused and would find itself responsible about a history that is written by others falsely. We should not forget that in 1921, while Istanbul was under English occupation, meaning while whole Ottoman archives were open the Englishes, they couldn't find any evidence to accuse the people they arrested claiming that they were responsible of Armenian genocide. And they could not find any evidence even they had access to archives in London, U.S. and Istanbul. Thus they had to free the Ottoman officials that they brought to Malta since they had no evidence to accuse them. So it would be very ridicilous to attempt to apologize without asking that what evidence came along since those times.

Question: From whom the liberal intellectuals who initiated an apologizing campaign from Armenians learned that Turkish nation was guilty about 1915 events?

Reply: Orhan Pamuk.
