Turish Foreign Ministry Spokesman Burak Ozugergin commented on the reaction of the retired ambassadors over apologizing campaign from Armenians about 1915 events and said, "We lost so many people because of Armenian terror. Some people privately can say whatever they want, policy of Turkey will not change."

The reaction against the apologizing campaing from Armenians about 1915 events enlargens. Commenting over the reaction of 60 retired Turkish ambassador to the apologizing campaign, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Burak Ozugergin reminded the Turkish diplomats that are murdered by Armenian terrorist organization ASALA and said, "Foreign Ministry of Turkey is a department that lost many of its diplomats because of Armenian terror. Thus, it would be fair to underscore our sensibility about this issue. Now we are in the saloon which is named for the memory of martyr diplomat Taha Carim.

We know about both of the initiatives. The initiative of retired ambassadors' is a special one. There is no orientation that our department made nor we want to react about it. Our attitude about 1915 events has not changed".

Underscoring that different opinions could be declared freely in democratic societies, Ozugergin said, "Turkey is an open society. While every topic could be discussed freely, different ideas may come to agenda. But our foreign policy is not brittle to get changed from yesteday to tomorrow. We will keep our attitude around some certain principles". Reminding that Foreign Minister Ali Babacan met Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian for four times within months, Ozugergin said that Turkey was trying to approach to issue as a whole and inclined to normalize its relations with Armenia. Ozugergin said, "As it is declared by Azerbaijani and Armenian officials and also by us, the intention of the initiative is to normalize the relation between countries and establishment of regional peace. Ozugergin said that it was early to be in high hopes about the process. Ozugergin said, "Although the reconciliation process continues in a warm atmosphere the ideas about Turkish Airlines to start flights to Armenia or opening of embassy in Armenia is nothing more than rumour".
