Armenia will revise its defence strategy in 2009 and will fasten armament of Armenian army. Armenia started preparations for buying new weapons and modernize its army in 2009.
Making a declaration about the issue, Chairman of Defence Commission of Armenian Parliament Artur Agabekian did not give information about the types of new weapons in his statement.
Stating that Armenian army is in a modernization process in recent years, Agabekian said that Armenia will revise its defence strategy in 2009. Replying questions of journalists about Karabakh conflict, Agabekian claimed that Azerbaijan was a threat for territorial integrity of Armenia.
Agabekian claimed that the defence line that is settled in Karabakh is the most powerful defence in the World and claimed that any Azerbaijani attack could be stopped there.
