"WE DO NOT APOLOGIZE" CAMPAIGN BY GRAND UNITY PARTY

Members of Grand Unity Party (BBP) started a petition campaign "we do not apologize" as an anti campaign of apology campaign which was started by a group of Turkish intellectuals to apologize to Armenians about 1915 events. Members of the BBP will gather signatures till 31 December and they will send them to Speaker of Turkish Parliament Koksal Toptan, President of Board of Review of Human Rights Professor Doctor Zafer Uskul, Committee of Petition of Parliament Alev Dedegil, General President of Grand Unity Party Muhsin Yazicioglu and President of Turkish Historical Society Professor Doctor Ali Birinci.

Stating that they find the apologize campaign that is initiated by a group of intellectuals as "evil-disposed", local representative of Grand Unity Party Ali Ihsan Kilinc said that Armenian lobbies around the World was making such sensational initiatives in some certain months every year. Stating that Armenians known as "loyal nation" in the times of Ottomans Kilinc said that the circles who do not want Turkey to develop finds a topic to occupy the agenda of Turkey. Underscoring that Turkish people have not got any problem with the Armenians who live in Turkey, he said that Turkish people loved the Armenian descent actor and actresses Kenan Pars(Kirkor Cezveciyan), Adile Na?it(Adile Keskiner), Garo Mafyan ve Nubar Terziyan. Kilinc said they are censuring the campaign of apology that is initiated by a group of Turkish intellectual. Kilinc said, "Let's leave these discussions to the historians. This nation lived in sacred lands of Anatolia all together. We are the parts of a great unity. We find this campaign as the practice of evil disposes. So we started this "we do not apologize" campaign."
