Daugthter of Kazim Karabekir, Timsal Karabekir stated that deportation decision was because of the atrocity of Armenians in Anatolia.
Karabekir said, "In those regions where the Armenians claims that Turks committed genocide against them, Armenians, who are called as "loyal nation" by Ottomans, cooperated with Russians and betrayed Ottoman Empire which was weak because of the conditions of World War One. What would you do to the ones who stabs you from your back? Ottomans were in a war and they fought with some of them. And started to move some groups of people who could be possibly dangerous in the future. Thus the issue of deportation, which is brought to agenda over and over again nowadays, happened."
Underscoring that necessary precautions was took for the security of the immigrators, Karabekir said, "Do you supply doctors to the people whom you plan to kill? Do you supply milk for pregnant women and children in the convoy? Nowadays there is a campaign of apologizing to Armenians. I am condemning these people who apologizes to Armenians vehemently. Rea genocide was committed by Armenians".
