BABACAN: THERE IS NO REASON FOR TURKEY

Underscoring that Turkey is a country which struggles for contributing the solution of the problems of far countries, Foreign Minister Ali Babacan said, "There is no reason for Turkey

Replying the questions of Kanal24 TV channel, Babacan said that there were frozen problems in Caucasia such as South Ossetia and Upper Karabakh. Babacan said that it was impossible for Turkey to stay unrelated to those issues. Underscoring that the war between Russia and Georgia caused for region to revise their regional policies, Babacan said, "Turkey suggested Caucasia Stability and Cooperation Platform aiming to form a peace atmosphere with the occasion of the crisis." Babacan said that World public opinion applauded Turkey about this initiative.
