FIFA FOUND TURKEY AND ARMENIA SUITABLE FOR WORLD FAIR PLAY AWARD

FIFA, had threatened Turkey with canceling its membership after events in the soccer game between Turkey and Switzerland. Same organization, found Turkey worthy of World Fair-Play Award because of its initiatives towards peace in Armenia Turkey soccer game.

According to the report of Vatan daily, FIFA will announce that it gives 2008 World Fair Play Award to Turkey and Armenia. President of FIFA, Blatter announced good news with a letter to Turkish Football Federation.

In the November of 2005, FIFA penalized Turkey harshly because of the bad events in soccer game between Turkey and Switzerland. But nowadays, FIFA prepares to give Turkey the most prestigious award of football industry. FIFA will announce that it gives 2008 World Fair-Play Award to Turkey officially in 12 January in Zurich for contributions of Turkey to peace of World by the occasion of football. The award will be given to Turkey and Armenia for Armenia-Turkey soccer game that is played in 6 September 2008 in Yerevan.
