Republican People's Party Hatay Deputy Aziz Yazar reacted to apology campaign which is initiated by a group of Turkish "intellectuals" to apologize to Armenians about 1915 events. Deputy Yazar said, "The only thing that these intellectuals do is disturbing the peace of Turkey. Ottoman Empire or Turkey did not commit any genocide."
Stating that there were no genocide in the history of Ottomans or Republic of Turkey, Republican People's Party Hatay Deputy Aziz Yazar said that the result of the apology campaign was the disturbance of the peace of Turkey. Yazar said that there are always external circles who do not want Turkey to be in peace. Reminding that keeping unity and solidarity of Turkey is duty of each Turkish citizen, Deputy Yazar said, "Turks, Kurds, Circassians, Armenians, Christians, Alawis are all equal in this country and they all have the same rights.
