Commenting on the statements of Obama about 1915 events during Presidential elections , Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Babacan said, "The statements that he made during election campaign and the statements which will be made when he sit on the table with feeling the responsibility over his shoulders may be different. When important files of the state comes on the table, that certainly affects the decision of administration."
Underscoring that he can not say that there is no risk, Babacan reminded that there is a continuing dialogue process between Turkey and Armenia and said that he hopes U.S. administration would not have an attitude which may impede this dialogue process.
Stating that they told the negative reflections of allegations about 1915 events to the relations between Turkey and Armenia to all the parties in U.S., Babacan said this topic is taking the foreign policy of Turkey hostage and said that the point they reach is the highest place that is ever reached in 94 years and said that they are hopeful for solution.
