Armenian delegation's powers will not be frozen, Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE) Chairman Luis Maria de Puig said at a news conference on Jan. 26. "I don't think Armenia will be deprived of its right of vote in the session," the PACE chairman said.

The PACE co-rapparteurs agreed to form a working group with the Armenian government to assess a political prisoner situation in Armenia. Moreover, they reached an agreement to assess a situation with the Armenian legislation.

"Therefore, co-rapparteurs will submit results of monitoring to the Monitoring Committee which was held to examine a situation in the country after the March developments. The committee will need time to assess the latest situation and to work over proposals. I think, this issue will be examined at the PACE April session," the chairman reported.
