NO ENFORCEMENT FOR ARMENIA IN PACE

Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE) decided for Armenian members of PACE to not to lose their rights of voting in the parliament with 3 votes for Armenia to be suspended of its rights of voting, 141 votes against and 5 votes abstebtions.

General Assembly of PACE discussed the report about violations of human rights in Armenia and recognized the draft resolution related to the report. PACE declared that they are seriously concerned about the violation of human rights in Armenia, but the Assembly decided to not to suspend the rights of voting of Armenian members of the PACE for now.

Stating that especially the situation of political prisoners were omnious, PACE called Armenia to free political prisoners.
