Highlighting that the interests of Armenia cannot be sacrificied for specific purposes, Sarksyan said, "Establishing relations with Turkey does not mean to forget about "genocide". We can not shelve the interests of country for certain purposes." Armenian leader renewed his statements telling, "The normalization of relations with Ankara should be without any preconditions" and said that normalization of relations are for Turkey's interests too.

Serzh Sarksyan said, "We always told and we repaat again that Turkey should open borders to Armenia without any precondition. After that we will be ready for the establishing of intergovernmental commission in which Turkey and Armenia will be able to discuss problems".

Commenting on Nagorno Karabakh problem, Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan said that the attitude of Yerevan administration about the issue is clear. Sarksyan said, "Never believe to the statements which tell that Armenia will make one sided compromises in the Karabakh issue. Our purpose to make Karabakh Armenians to have the right of self determination for their future. We will always keep our national interests in first place."
