Conference will be held because of the 100th anniversary of so called massacres of Armenians which allegedly happened in 1909 in Adana, Turkey. Catholicosate of Cilicia asked everybody to attend to this organization who have photographes and documents about the issue.
Catholicos of Cilicia, Aram I said, "This sad page in the contemporary history of the Armenian nation should be remembered with due importance and seriousness" and he informed community organizations, academical institutions, scholars, and public about the events in Adana that allegedly took place for the conference that will be held.
Conference will be held between 29-30 October 2009 in Antelias, Lebanon by the lead of Aram I. A special committe which have contacts with the chuch will be the sponsor of the conference and attenders of the conference which will consist of intellectuals, writers and researchers will share their opinion during the conference.
So called massacres of Adana is claimed as being the second biggest slaughter that is allegedly committed against Armenians.
