In the message Sahakyan congratulated the anniversary of islamic revolution of Iran and thanked for the support of Iran to Karabakh saying, "Artsakh(Karabakh) appreciates highly the role of Iran in maintaining peace and stability in the region and balanced position in the process of peaceful settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict. I am confident that centuries-old friendship and ties between our countries and peoples will become much stronger and more diversified."
Protest to be held in front of Iranian embassy to Baku
Maybe we should evaluate this attitude of Iran with considering the Azerbaijani population in it and desires of assimilation of Iran. The youth organization of the Civil Solidarity party of Azerbaijan is planning to hold a protest in front of the Iranian embassy to Baku from 14:00 to 15:00, according to the press service for the party reports day.az.
The statement says that the main reason of holding an action is that the Iranian Seher TV channel holds a campaign targeting the statehood of Azerbaijan and abusing intellectuals, state and scientific figures of the country.
"The accusation campaign is also held against co-chair of the World Azerbaijanis Congress Sabir Rustamkhanly", says the statement.
