ARMENIA: VICTIM OF GLOBAL CRISIS

Image According to the report, Minister of Labour and Social Security Arsen Ambarsumyan declared that totally 2135 Armenian citizen lost their jobes after global economic crisis and 1538 citizen are informed that they will be discharged from their jobs. Ambarsumyan declared that unemployment rates in Armenia is about 6,4 percent. Many facilities in the country is sold to Russian companies because of the debts of Armenia to Russia. But most of these facilities are not working and being kept waiting and thus many Armenian citizens are unemployed or immigrated to Russia or other countries to earn money. The policy of Russia against the illegal immigrants, which mostly consist of workers who come from post Soviet countries, is harsh. Not mentioning about skin head natonalist Russians who find place in international press in the reports of murdering immigrants in the country. There are more than one million Armenian who works and resides in Russia legeally or illegally while the total population of Armenia is about 3,2 million.

One week ago Russian Ambassador to Armenia Nikolay Pavlov said that Russia will grant $500 million to Armenia and said that Russia never leaves its close friends in difficult situations and it will support Armenia.
