Associate Professor Kurkcuoglu stated that Armenian gangs captived the Turkish citizen of Merdiven, Tazegul, Abdalcik and Karabiyik villages of Askale, Erzurum and they brought those people to the Cinis village where they slaughtered 587 people in total.

Stating that people who had slaughtered disintered and burried into a mass grave by villagers in 1970, Kurkcuoglu said, "By cooperating with Askale District Governate and Askale municipality we built Cinis cemetary in 2003".

Reminding that four members of U.S. Congress is preparing a new "genocide" resolution, Kurkcuoglu said, "Diaspora plays the same role which it does before every 24 April. Turkey should be careful about this issue."

Underscoring that Obama have to make search about Armenian allegations in the American archives and should give the decision about such a resolution after that, Kurkcuoglu said, "There is no genocide in the history of Turks. Armenian allegations are depending on lies and defamation. The ones who were slaughtered between January - March 1918 was Turkish people. If Obama and members of U.S. House of Representatives would see the truth if they look their own archives. Coming to Erzurum in 25 May 1919, American General Harbord wrote his impressions down into a report. American historian Justin McCarty tells about the truth in detail with its documents in his book "Death and Exile". USA would see the truth if it would look its own archives.
