A NEW BOOK ON TURKISH-ARMENIAN RELATIONS BY AHMET GUREL

According to the Publisher company Senocak, Gurel analysed 524 external documents for his book which "shows the real face of Armenian issue in the light of external documents".

Book includes only documents from foreign sources and archives and it focuses on Turkish-Armenian relations, events during the deportation, role of Greeks in the Armenian riots, Armenians during War of Independence, missionaries in Anatolia, Armenian riots against Ottomans are analysed in the book. Book also includes evaluations of foreign soldiers, politicians and historians about 1915 events.

Among these, Armenian writer Avandis K. Kajlan's opinions are included. Armenian writer mentions about the association of Turkish and Armenian people and says that Armenians were living in peace with being free to live as their tradition and religion foresees.

Mentioning about the deportation of Armenians American Armenian Historian Professor Doctor Hovannisia says, "Armenian mercenary had organized to dismiss Turkish people from Van. The target was opening the way of Russian army through Bitlis. In this case the thing Turks should do was deporting Armenians to somewhere away from the border".
