ERDOGAN: WE DISCUSSED "ARMENIAN GENOCIDE"

No comments are made about the issue in the declaration that is made by White House yesterday.

Erdogan held a joint press conference with Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader. During press conference Erdogan replied questions of reporters over his phone interview with U.S. President Barack Obama. Erdogan said:

"In our interview we discussed Turkish-American strategical relations, importance of Turkey in the region, improvement of Turkish-American relations and issue of so called "Armenian genocide". There will be occasion of discussing these more in detail during the G-20 summit in April. Besides we found chance to discuss Global economic crisis. We will continue our interview in London."

The declaration of White House over interview of Turkish and American officials said that President Obama discussed Turkey-Iraq relations, importance of cooperation for peace in Middle East, opinion of U.S. about policies over Afghanistan and Pakistan, with Prime Minister Erdogan and President Gul.
