The major Armenian lobbying organization in U.S. faces with a lawsuit following the assertion of a complaint by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) that ANCA is not working like a lobbying organization but a branch of a political party in Armenia. CREW issued a complaint against ANCA and ANCA Donation Foundation to U.S. House of Representatives, Senate and Ministry of Justice. CREW pointed that ANCA is not following the rules and intervening politics which a civil organization should avoid.

Armenian organization said that the allegations about ANCA's activities are without merit and full of inaccuracies. An official from the organization called for attention to the timing of complaint reminding commemoration of so called Armenian genocide on 24 April.

The support of ANCA to "genocide" resolution is in the center of the complaint. The complaint said that ANCA have lobbied Congress for the congressional recognition of genocide and pressured members of the congress unethically.

According to the complaint, ANCA called for support to 15 candidate for Senate and 211 candidates for U.S. House of Representatives. ANCA also supported Obama-Biden team's presidency during elections. Complaint also pointed the close relations of ANCA with Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutiun. ANCA openly intervened to the politics, it convinced the Senators of External Relations Committee and threated ambassador of U.S. to Yerevan with not being assigned to his job if he does not recognizes so called Armenian genocide.
