PROFESSOR: ARMENIAN ALLEGATIONS OVER EVENTS ON 24 APRIL ARE GROUNDLESS

Making a speech, Professor Ataov said that Armenian allegations are based on inaccurate and footless information and he pointed that the public opinion of World is being informed falsly by Armenians.

Stating that 235 Ottoman Armenian citizen were arrested because of intervening illegal activities on 4 April 1915 in Istanbul, Professor Ataov said that most of them were freed in a little while and none of them were killed. Pointing that Armenian allegations about this issue is totally different, Professor Ataov said that Armenians are claiming that the Armenians that arrested were killed. Underscoring how the claim is far from the truth, Ataov said that historical documents, which lists the detainees about the event, contradicts with the claims of Armenians.

Turkkaya Ataov said that Armenians were being assigned to high level duties in Ottoman administration and it is also proved by foreign counries' archives that Armenians slaughtered Turkish people during the World War One.

Ataov said, "If one wants to analyse Ottoman-Armenian relations with its real aspects, it is a must for him to search Ottoman archives.
