Egypt makes efforts to develop its relations with Armenia while another Muslim countries, Azerbaijan's territories are still under the occupation of Armenia. Dr. Nilgun Gulcan said "the occupied Azerbaijani territories are bigger than the occupied Palestinian territories. Armenians occupied more than 2 times bigger territories and made 1 million Muslims refugees".
According to Mrs. Gulcan, Arab world should be more sensitive regarding the occupied Azeri territories:
"Entire Turkish world including Azerbaijan, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Turkey, fully support Arabs in their Palestinian Cause. However we cannot see the same responsible and sensitive support in occupied Azerbaijani territories. About 17 percent of Muslim Azerbaijan has been under Armenian occupation. 1 million people have still no house. Under these circumstances no Arab country should develop its relations with Armenia. Otherwise Armenian aggressiveness and irredentism will be encouraged. There is no difference between Armenia and Israel in terms of justice and respect to the neighboring countries".
