LIBRARY OPENED IN ERZURUM IN THE MEMORY OF MARTYRS

Library is established by the contributions of Askale district governorship and Ataturk University. Attending to the opening ceremony of the library, Nationalist Movement Party deputy representing Erzurum, Zeki Ergutay thanked to everybody who contributed to the foundation of the library.

Associate Professor Kurkcuoglu said that Cinis Martyrs library includes Prime Ministry Ottoman archives, historical military documents of Presidency of General Staff, documents and photographs that are gathered from the diggings and researches of native and foreign scientists. Calling for attention that library includes 2,500 treatise, Associate Professor Kurkcuoglu said, "History is a science that depends on documents. One cannot make statements over a history which does not rely on documents, cannot make evaluations and cannot conclude to any positive result. You cannot write history with laws and commission decisions." Kurkcuoglu called new American President Barack Obama to follow realistic and scientific history politics against the 24 April policies of Armenian lobbies.
