CEVIKOZ: TURKISH-AMERICAN FOREIGN POLICY INTERESTS COINCIDE

Cevikoz said that the issues in the agenda of U.S. and Turkey are Iraqi Afghanistan, Caucasus, Russia, fight against terrorism, Middle East and Balkans and said that two country will evaluate these issues.

Deputy Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Unal Cevikoz said that Turkey is ready to contribute to the withdrawal process of U.S. forces from Iraq as much as possible and is ready to do its part of duty if there is. Cevikoz said that Turkey is making preparations for the precautions that are made security of Afghanistan and stressed that Turkey will continue with its support to Afghanistan.

Cevikoz said that Turkey wants to normalize its relations with Armenia and underscored that there is nothing for Azerbaijan to worry about. Cevikoz underscored that there is no change in the policy of Turkey over the resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Unal Cevikoz said that Turkey is playing a role of "facilitator" more than a mediator and yielded the trust of all parties.
