Financial Times evaluated the newly push on Armenian resolution as a test for relations between Turkey and United States before the visit of U.S. President Obama to Turkey.
Financial Times (FT) newspaper published a report with title "Massacre move a blow to Turkey" and wrote that members of Congress introduced a fresh bill which recognizes mass deaths of Armenians in Ottoman period in 1915 as "genocide". FT wrote that this will be a test for relations of U.S. with Ankara before the visit of President Obama to Turkey.
Newspaper pointed that one of the introducer of the resolution member of the Congress from Democratic Party Adam Schiff gathered support of 77 member of the Congress. FT stated that Schiff calls Obama to define mass killings of Armenians as "genocide". Financial Times continued as,
