Speaking over so called Armenian genocide Babacan said, "We are keeping dense activities in Washington. We are having contacts with members of U.S. Congress, President of the Commission and with some of the lobbying organizations. As you know we sent a committee of deputies to Washington, and then deputy secretary and foreign policy advisor of Prime Minister Erdogan, Ahmet Davutoglu. And after that another deputy secretary will be sent to Washington and they all tell American officials how such move by United States will affect Turkish-US relations negatively."
