Association for Graduates of Istanbul University arranged the organization with the support of Turkish Coalition of America in Turkish House. A documentary movie about martyr Turkish diplomats serving in foreign legations who murdered by Armenian terrorists, was showed during the activity.
Attending to the activity, New York Consul General Mehmet Samsar and Attorney Bruce Fein made speechs over Armenian terror and Armenian allegations on 1915 events.
Consul General Mehmet Samsar said that Turkey faces an organized lie and defamation campaign continued by Armenians. Stating that Armenians also used way of terror to make world know about their allegations, Samsar said Armenian terrorist organizations including ASALA committed more than 200 assaults against Turkish diplomats in 21 different country between 1973 and 1985 and they murdered more than 30 diplomats and their relatives.
Samsar said that Turkish diplomats became target of Armenian terrorists just because they were Turkish and just because they represent Turkey. He said, "Unfortunately international public opinion forgot the memory of martyr Turkish diplomats, but we, Turkish people will never forget their memory."
Samsar said that media reported these murders of Armenian terrorist organizations with little font and gave Armenian allegations on 1915 events more place. He underscored that Turkey has no period in its history that it should be shamed of and always ready to face and unveil its own history.
Law advisor of one of the former U.S. President Ronald Reagon, attorney Bruce Fein said that Armenian diaspora struggles to trap and threat Turkish people all over the World with genocide allegations.
Fein said that Turks and Turkey will not let this happen and will not stay silent about genocide allegations anymore.
Fein said that there is a prejudice about Muslims in U.S. and Western World and said, "Armenians started riots during World War One and they fought against Ottomans cooperation with enemy. There is a false information being spread by Armenians like only Armenians died."
Fein stated that the number of Muslim Turks who died is about 2 millions and Armenians is about 300-600 thousand although Armenians continuously increase the number of deaths of theirselves.
Fein said that the definition of genocide is made by United Nations in 1948 and it is clear that Ottomans did not have an intention to kill Armenians because of religion, race, ethnicity differences.
Fein said that Armenian terrorists who murdered Turkish diplomats were never slammed in Armenia but they are turned into heroes.
Fein said that Armenian terror is not active anymore but Armenian groups go on targeting Turkey with their bullets made of words. Fein said, "Turkish community in U.S. should act in unity and take action against Armenian allegations, should be active and good organized. If this control and solidarity could be provided prejudice could be removed and anything can be achived."
Reminding suggestion of Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan about establishing a joint historians committee to research 1915 events, Fein said that the idea was fair but Armenians did not accept it.
