House of Representatives of Hawaii recognized so Armenian allegations on 1915 events with consensus. According to the report of Public Radio of Armenia, the decision of State Parliament of Hawaii condemns the guilt of genocide and recognizes 24 April as commemoration day of so called Armenian genocide. On the other hand number of states in United States increased to 42 after Hawaii recognized so called Armenian genocide.
The decision of House of Representatives in Hawaii welcomed by Armenian circles in United States. Evaluating the decision of Hawaii parliament, President of one of the major Armenian organizations in United States, Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA), Aram Hamparian said, "Recognition of "Armenian genocide" by Hawaii reflects a strong and moral American attitude against all genocides."
