The parliament chairman highly evaluated the relations existing between the two states in the political, economic, cultural, humanitarian, scientific, educational and other spheres and stressed the strategic nature of cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan.
"No one today can create enmity between Azerbaijan and Turkish peoples. Armenia that occupies Azerbaijani lands does not disavow its claims for recognition of the so-called "Armenian genocide" and Turkish lands.
In this connection Azerbaijani and Turkish public could not stay indifferent to the possible opening of borders between Turkey and Armenia. We highly appreciate the support that Turkey provides to Azerbaijan and we believe that the fraternal state will not take any steps without considering Azerbaijan's interests", said Asadov.
