PROGRESS MADE IN PROCESS OF OPENING OF BORDERS: NALBANDIAN

Talking in the joint press meeting following 20th meeting of Foreign Ministers Council of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) in Yerevan, Armenian Foreign Minister Nalbandian replied a question asking wheter there will be an agreement between Turkey and Armenia over opening of border, saying, "Signing such agreement is not planned today but negotiations continues."

Nalbandian said, "We made progress in the process. We may reach to that point soon. I believe we will resolve these problems by time."

Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Mahmud Mammad Guliyev replied question about the process between Turkey and Armenia saying that they do not intervene policies of other countries, but the talks between two countries should be related to the resolution of the dispute between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

When reporters reminded the reports in media telling Turkish President Abdullah Gul made a suggestion about resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Nalbandian said, "There is an ongoing process for this under lead of OSCE Minsk Group."

Replying questions of journalists about issue of opening of borders between Turkey and Armenia, Guliyev said that the issue was not on the agenda during his meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan. Over a question wheter Azerbaijan is hurted because of the gossips over opening of Turkey-Armenia border, Guliyev stressed that Turkey and Azerbaijan are fraternal countries and he believes that Turkey will not move against interests of Azerbaijan.
