He also added that the resolution of relations between Armenia and Turkey must proceed on par with the Armenian-Azerbaijani talks.

The Turkish FM said that he will hold bilateral talks with officials of Armenia in Yerevan if necessary.

Notably, a private meeting of Babacan with Russian FM Sergey Lavrov and deputy FM of Azerbaijan Mahmud Mamedquliyev.

According to NTV, Turkish FM Ali Babacan asked Sergey Lavrov to urge Armenia to intensify efforts in the resolution of the Karabakh conflict.

As for the possible meeting of Edward Nalbandyan and Ali Babacan, spokesman for the Armenian Foreign Ministry Tigran Balayan said that no such meeting has occurred yet.

Foreign Minister Ali Babacan met with Armenian President Serzh Sarkisian within the framework of the meeting of BSEC Foreign Ministers Council in Yerevan, APA reported. Improvement of Turkey-Armenia relations were discussed at the meeting. Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkey Ertugrul Apagan also attended the meeting.
