ARMENIA'S AGRESSION POSES SERIOUS THREAT TO PEACE IN REGION

Armenia's aggression against Azerbaijan poses a serious threat to peace and stability in the region, said the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev during his meeting with the President of the Czech Republic Vaclav Klaus on May 6, AzerTaj state news agency reported.

During the meeting, the Head of State also noted that relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union were successfully expanding.

He added Azerbaijan was closely participating in ensuring Europe's energy security.

In his turn, Klaus noted ongoing political and economic processes in Azerbaijan and the region were in the focus of attention in the Czech Republic.

According to him, 'this meeting creates good opportunities for exchanging views on the current state of and prospects for bilateral relations.'

Vaclav Klaus also said his country plans to open an embassy in Azerbaijan, adding it will contribute to boosting bilateral relationship even more.
