SECOND GESTURE OF ORHAN PAMUK TO ARMENIANS

Nobel award winner Turkish writer Orhan Pamuk's novel "Kar" is translated to Armenian language and published in Armenia. According to the report of Armenpress, the book is translated to Armenian by Hakob Soghomonyan from its Russian translation and with comparing with Turkish edition. Book is published in Cyrilic alphabet and it will also be published in Lebanon with Armenian alphabet.

A press conference is held in National Education and Culture Organization in Yerevan for introducing the book. President of the organization, Lilit Galtsyan said that Turkish writer Orhan Pamuk did not demand for royalty fees for Armenian translation of the book. Stating that the writer faced with harsh criticals because of this book in Turkey, Galtsyan claimed that Orhan Pamuk had to leave the country and live in Boston, US.
