A special plenary meeting of Milli Majlis with participation of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will be held on May 13, deputy of Azerbaijani Parliament, head of inter-parliamentary friendship group Azerbaijan-Turkey Nizami Jafarov said.

"We want the Turkish Prime Minister to speak not only of the evolving situation in the region and the development of bilateral Azerbaijani-Turkish relations, but also of the negotiations between Ankara and Yerevan", he said.

According to N. Jafarov, it is necessary for Erdogan to clarify issues of concern to the Azerbaijani public.

"The Azerbaijani public is seriously concerned about the fact that, suggestions on the implementation of certain steps before the settlement of the Karabakh conflict are made. This is the possible opening of Turkish-Armenian border, the warming of relations and simplifying the process of holding meetings between the presidents of the two states", noted the parliamentarian.

As he said, according to official figures, now more than 50 thousand citizens of Armenia perform various activities in Turkey.

"Armenia and Turkey established direct air communication, intensively develop the bilateral economic ties between Ankara and Yerevan through Georgia. I think that the respected Prime Minister will provide information on these issues", underlined N. Jafarov.
