BRYZA: TURKISH-ARMENIAN RELATIONS AND KARABAKH CONFLICT ARE SEPERATE ISSUES

E-mail Print PDF

"The normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey and the Karabakh problem are separate issue, Matt Bryza, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State, OSCE Minsk Group co-chair, said in an interview with Echo Moskvy radio station.

According to him, these processes are individual and parallel. "They go on different speeds. One process helps another and vise versa".

The border between Turkey and Armenia, said the diplomat, will not open immediately, but in a few months. "I do not know if it's possible to include the return of the territories to this crucial moment. But I know that it is possible to incorporate this idea in order to find common grounds between all parties. We are striving for this now", M. Bryza said.
