Armenian lobby in United States started to use support of Turkey to Sudan as a "material" to strengthen their allegations of genocide and to convince Washington administration to recognize 1915 events as "genocide" of Armenians.
Biggest goal of U.S. Armenians in this year is to convince United States House of Representatives and U. S. Government to recognize allegations of genocide. As United States defined the massacres that took place in Darfur as genocide, Armenian lobby wants to benefit from that and uses support of Turkey to Sudanese government against Turkey.
Major Armenian organization in United States, Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) initiated a campaing regarding same reason. ANCA claimed that Turkey and Sudan are forming an axis of "genocide".
ANCA delivered its thesis to the Congress stating that Turkey sells weapon to Sudanese government, backs struggles of Sudanese government towards denial of genocide and uses its seat in United Nations for defending Sudan.
