THE BORDERS IN OUR MINDS SHOULD BE OPENED FIRST

The report that is prepared by Turkey Economic and Social Studies Foundation (TESEV) and Caucasus Institute over the relations between Turkey and Armenia titled, "Breaking the Vicious Cycle", released yesterday.

Attending to the meeting that is held in the Karakoy, Sabanci University, Director of Armenia National and International Researches Center Richard Giragosian stated that both Turkey and Armenia are in a sincer initiative and said, "We see that we already opened the borders in our minds. The opening of the borders in our minds is a development that is much more important than opening of the state borders between Turkey and Armenia". Preparing the report, in the charge of foreign policy of TESEV, Aybars Gorgulu said that there exist three important problems in the relations of Turkey and Armenia. He stated that they are, opening of borders, genocide allegations and Karabakh conflict. On the other hand report proposed for allegations of genocide to not to be intervened in the process of EU membership of Turkey.
