Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian believes that Azerbaijan is trying to attach a religious nature to the Karabakh conflict.

He said this in Yerevan Tuesday at a press conference with his Syrian counterpart Valid Muallim, commenting on the resolutions, adopted at the 36th conference of the Foreign Ministers of the organization in Damascus late May by initiative of Azerbaijan.

"Dangerous attempts to attach a religious nature to this conflict have led to the adoption of these documents, which can not contribute to resolving the Karabakh conflict and strengthening of stability and security in the region and causes obvious harm to the ongoing negotiations", said Nalbandian.

According to him, these documents were adopted on the basis of distorted information.
