Azerbaijani FM Elmar Mamedyarov is not sharing the optimism of the OSCE MG co-chairs regarding soonest possible breakthrough in the Karabakh issue.

“It is important that the co-chairs assess the process positively. But on the other hand, I, based on what I heard with my own ears, can state that Armenian side took a non-constructive stance at the recent meeting in Prague, said Elmar Mamedyarov, according to Interfax-Azerbaijan.

The Minister noted that by saying constructiveness, he meant the presence of Armenia’s interest in establishing peace and stability in the region.

According to Mamedyarov, at the St.Petersburg meeting of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia it will become clear whether Yerevan’s position has changed.

As for the upcoming forum of the Nagorno Karabakh Azerbaijani community, the Foreign Minister stated the intention to cooperate with any leader of the community to be elected at the forum.
