The Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno-Karabakh considers the elections held in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan as illegal.

“The elections which are held in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan cannot be considered as transparent and democratic, as they are taking place without the Nagorno-Karabakh Azerbaijanis’ participation,” Head of the organization and Shusha Region Administration Bayram Safarov said at the congress of the Azerbaijani Community of the Nagorno-Karabakh Public Association.

On June 5, Baku is hosting the first congress of the Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno-Karabakh Public Association which discusses organizational issues, as well as reforming of the organization. The Azerbaijani community comprises 65,000 people.

“The illegal elections in the Nagorno-Karabakh are held to cover Armenia’s aggressive policy. These elections contradict all norms of the international law,” Bayramov said.
