Swedish Foreign Minister stated that if we call 1915 events as "genocide" we would make historical events hard to be understood. He said that in the case of recognition of genocide, groups who search the events took place on those years will have difficulties about understanding the issue.
Armenian organizations blamed Swedish Foreign Minister with holding policies of Turkey.
A resolution recognizing 1915 events as genocide was brought to Parliament of Sweden before. Swedish Parliament rejected the resolution in the parliament.
