
The region that is under Armenian occupations since 20 years and the reason of the dispute between Azerbaijan and Armenia, was the topic of photograph exhibition in the English parliament.
The exhibition included 200 photographes captured by Frederique Lengaigne, Klaus Resinger, Oleg Litvin, Mirnaid Hasanov, Ilgar Cafarov, Elnour Babayev and several other people. The photos show the situation in the Armenian occupied region. The topics of the photos are listed as people who lost their home and country, living conditions in temporary camps and tents because of the continuing war, Hojaly massacre, old people, children, preparation for future and being remembered. The exhibition is arranged by Europe Azerbaijani Community.
Deputy Manager of Europe Azerbaijani Community Neil Watson said that exhibition is a part of their efforts for informing Europe and United States about Nagorno Karabakh. Stating that they want to attract attention of international community to the long-unresolved conflict, Watson said, “Our purpose is calling attention for the tragedy of Nagorno-Karabakh. This tragedy started after Azerbaijan gained its independence and it lasts since 17 years. This tragedy is totally ignored by Western media. This exhibition aims to remind Europe about the long-suffering region.”
He said, “We are sending materials to parliamentarians and journalists in Europe and United States to attract attention to this issue. We are informing people about the reasons of the conflict and situation in the region.”
Watson also said that they are preparing a documentary about Karabakh conflict.
