“On statements of Armenian foreign minister Shavarsh Kocharyan on the resolution of the Karabakh conflict by way of force, I believe this is not favorable for Azerbaijan in the current political situation, therefore, we should wait,” said political scientist Vafa Guluzade, commenting on statement of deputy FM of Armenia about “nonconstructive position of Azerbaijan” in resolution of the Karabakh conflict.

“Statements of Deputy FM of the province of Russia are not serious,” noted he.

“The Karabakh issue is not settled because Armenia is not an independent state. The Armenian leadership does what it is ordered to do. If Armenia were an independent state, the Karabakh conflict would have been settled long before, as it is not in Armenia’s favor. Armenia is not developing, it remains on the level of the Soviet times,” said the political scientist.

He said Armenia’s closeness to Moscow does not allow it to take any positive step.

He said Armenia should apologize to Azerbaijan for occupation of Azerbaijani lands.

“Then Azerbaijan will think whether to pardon Armenia or take revenge,” added he.

According to Guluzade, no progress is possible, as Russia benefits from the state of neither peace nor war between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
