“We should get prepared for the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border, as sooner or later it will happen. The opening of the border will give opportunity of the economic effective improvement. The very first precondition for our economic increase is open market. As soon as the border is opened, at least by 20% price reduction will be recorded,” Vardan Ayvazyan, the chairman of the economic affairs committee of the National Assembly said at the ARF discussion on the problems of opening the Armenian-Turkish border.

It“s worth mentioning that the mission of the ARF survey is to discover the commerce-economic problems after opening the closed border and to define the preferable directions for Armenia.

The opening of the border will have both positive influence and risky moments also, Ayvazyan said. “Surely, some risky moments will be. We are working and not waiting for them to bring something to us,” the chairman said.
